    For Winnipeg, Chief Peguis Road and 80 kph speed zone added, Lagimodiere speed zone change from 90 to 80 from Bishop Grandin to point 350 m south of Sage Creek Blvd, Pth 101 at Dugald - new intersection construction change 70 to 80 and widened road, and an aAdjustment of 80 to 60 kph speed zone transition on Waverly between Lee Blvd and Sandusky Drive.

    For Rural Manitoba, speed zone adjustments near Blumenort - 90 down to 70 and 70 down to 60 between Clearspring road and highway 311.

    Various road segment and speed zone adjustments in Melbourne and Mooroolbark Australia.

    Map update for Rural Manitoba and new map for Oshawa, Ontario published!

    The Rural Manitoba coverage map includes speed zone changes along Highway 59 from Path 101 to Iles des chiens, on Highway 311 through Niverville, near Bothwell MB., and through Blumenort MB.

    A new speed map of Oshawa Ontario has been published. In addition, school zones, playgrounds and crosswalk alerts are included. There are no red light cameras in Oshawa.

    The Winnipeg coverage map includes the removal of a crosswalk, widening of Waverly Blvd., and the inclusion of an approximation of the Chief Peguis road extension between Main Street and Lagimodiere Blvd.

    The Rural Manitoba map includes speed zone changes and the addition of school zones and playgrounds within Steinbach, MB.

    The Ottawa map includes numerous changes in the West end of the region including speed zone changes, school zones, playgrounds, crosswalks, and deer crossings.

    The Toronto, Markham, Mississauga, and Oakville map changes include adjustments to Hwy 401, speed zone changes, and the addition of school zones and playgrounds.

    The Toronto map includes various speed zone changes to 40 kph, the addition of crosswalks and school zones in downtown Toronto, and speed adjustments along highway 401.

    The Scarborough map changes include speed zone adjustments along Markham Road N from Highgway 401 to Steeles Ave.

    Issue With "View Map" on BlackBerry OS 6

    BlackBerries running OS6, such as the Torch, will not be able to "View maps" in their trip reports.

    We are aware of an issue with the OS6 version of BlackBerry Maps that prevents the OttoMobile application from displaying trips. The function has been disabled for all OS6 devices.

    We are working on a fix for this issue.

    BlackBerry devices running older OS versions (v.4.5 and up) are not affected.

    The Winnipeg coverage map includes the modification of a number of roads and speed limits and crosswalks, including the removal of the crosswalk on Osborne at Wardlaw Ave., which has been replaced by traffic signals.

    The Brandon map includes crosswalk and school zone adjustments along 18th Street N.

    The Greater Vancouver Regional District coverage map includs many road and speed zone adjustments as well as the addition of numerous new RLC controlled intersections, totaling 121.     BlackBerry version 2.5 released

    This version introduces a new feature that stops a trip and turns off the GPS function when the device has been idle for more than 10 minutes, which helps reduce battery usage on the GPS function if the trip has stopped.

    OttoMobile for BlackBerry 2.3 released

    OttoMobile for BlackBerry, version 2.3, is now available at BlackBerry App World.

    This version addresses issues with Metric to Imperial conversions, as well as some cosmetic issues.

    The upgrade is free to all existing OttoMobile for BlackBerry users.


    OttoMobile for iPhone 1.3 released

    OttoMobile for iPhone version 1.3 is now available through the iTunes App Store, in both Pro and Lite versions!

    The new release includes compatibility changes for iOS 4.2, including fixing a Heartbeat pulse timestamp issue, and improved refreshing of the map list, as well as map updates and new coverage map information.


    San Jose and Palo Alto maps now available

    We have now released a new map for San Jose, California, as well as having expanded our Palo Alto map.

    The Palo Alto coverage map includes parts of the Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View jurisdictions. Updates include speed limit adjustments, and the additions of playgrounds, school zones, and crosswalks.

    The San Jose map includes parts of the Campbell, Alamitos, Alum Rock, River Oaks, and Berryessa Creek areas. The map includes speed limits, playgrounds, school zones, crosswalks, deer crossings, rat box intersections (red light cameras), and hazardous intersections.

    A one-year subscription to the San Jose map sells for $2.99, while the Palo Alto subscription is $1.99. All subscriptions include one year of updates.
